Tankless
Water Heaters
We proudly recommend and offer Rinnai tankless water heaters. Not only are they the #1 selling tankless water heater brand in the world, but they are also the first major tankless brand to be manufactured in the USA.
Choosing the right tankless water heater for your home can be challenging. So we’ve assembled a list of features that our clients ask most frequently about so you can make the right decision for your particular situation.
Wifi Ready
Rinnai tankless water heaters all come wifi ready. Why wifi for your tankless water heater? So you can control the temperature of your hot water and the hot water recirculation schedule (if your model is fitted with it) all from your phone or computer. Additionally, the wifi system automatically diagnoses your tankless water heater and notifies you the moment it finds an issue.
Hot Water Circulation Technology
Hot water circulation technology vastly reduces the time for hot water to reach your faucet. Without hot water circulation, you might be waiting a minute for the hot water to come through the tap. Circulation-ready models utilize a return pipe to flow hot water through, meaning it doesn’t have to heat water again and you’ll spend less time at the faucet.
A return pipe is required to utilize hot water circulation with some tankless water heaters. Not all homes have return pipes and they are costly to install. This isn’t a problem for Rinnai. Rinnai’s ThermaCirc360™ feature (only available on select models) doesn’t need a return pipe. It uses a separate, easy-to-install valve at the faucet furthest from the water heater and uses the cold water line as the return line.
Rinnai’s tankless water heaters can be outfitted with additional accessories to customize the recirculation. You can use a motion sensor to automatically begin recirculating hot water in a specific area when you walk by or you can schedule the recirculation times with their control unit.
High Energy Efficiency Options
Rinnai tankless water heaters provide condensing and non-condensing units. Condensing units have the highest energy efficiency ratings on the market.
High Durability & Quality
Tankless water heaters cost more than storage tank water heaters, but on average they last more than twice as long. Rinnai tankless water heaters can last longer than 25 years with regular maintenance and good water quality. With their increased energy efficiency and longer life span, they end up costing much less than a storage-tank water heater in the long run.
Customization Accessories
Rinnai carries all kinds of accessories to customize your tankless water heater experience: Motion sensors and control units to customize your hot water recirculation, battery packs to ensure you’ll have hot water for days even when the power goes out, and scale cutting systems to make sure your investment in a tankless water heater is protected against scale build-up.
High GPM (gallon per minute) and BTU’s (British Thermal Unit)
GPM rating means the amount of water that flows through the tankless water heater. BTU is a measurement of how quickly the water heater can increase the water temperature. In Minnesota, the average water temperature is 42 degrees Fahrenheit. To bring this water to the temperature and flow rate you desire, you'll need high BTU and GPM. Most people in Minnesota find they need a tankless water heater with up to 200,000 BTU at 5 GPM to meet their needs.
